Launching A New Community: What's the OSCs Role?
One of the biggest discrepancies I see among builders is how they run a community launch.
Some seem to launch something as often as Monday rolls around and it’s usually only found out weeks later by the team. Others plan and plan and plan for an entire year and end up pushing it another. It can feel like a big gap of go between on what to expect and how to operate.
In the middle of it all and often, the last to know, is the OSC. It’s a strange juxtaposition of need to know and not included. At the same time they are expected to manage the influx of new leads.
I think this can stem from a disjointed land and sales department - because what we’re actually talking about is your go to sales launch.
For Subscribers: We’re going to discuss when and how the OSC should be involved in a community launch and answer 6 questions about the OSC process.
First a few updates below (it’s just a lot of buttons my marketing team says I have to add) and then we’ll get on to the content at hand.
